As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), The Detroit Recovery Project Incorporated (DRP) strengthens, rebuilds, and empowers communities affected by drug and alcohol addiction and other under-served populations. DRP supports individuals in identifying and resolving barriers to achieving a healthy and productive drug-free lifestyle.
 
Who we're looking for: 
 
DRP is currently seeking a full-time on-site Accounting Coordinator to join the Finance Team. The Accounting Coordinator will combine their administrative skills with their strong Accounts Receivable experience to provide support to the Department and Director of Finance.
 
Qualifications:
  • At least two (2) years of Accounts Receivable experience 
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or related field is preferred
  • A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks is preferred 
  • Experience with Electronic Health/Medical Records Billing Systems is a plus!
 
Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.
 
Additional Duties: 
  • Manages customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, including preparation, posting, verification, and recording.
  • Generates invoices according to company practices and submits them to customers.
  • Assists in accounts receivables for medical fee-for-service programs.
  • Provides support to outside auditors by gathering necessary account information and documents for annual audits.
  • Performs filing, scheduling, and other administrative duties related to the Finance team's needs.
  • Maintains and updates customer files, including changes in name, address, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Drafts correspondences for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifying and contacting delinquent accountholders for payment requests.
  • Creates reports on the status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
  • Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
  • Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
  • Assists in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
  • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
