Director of Children's Service Coordination Position Summary:
Oversees the daily operations of the department, which provides family support services according to He-M 519. The Director supervises the family support staff, including Children's Service Coordinators, Children's Transition Coordinators, Respite Coordinator and Regional ESS Program Coordinator. The Director is the primary liaison with the Family Council and regularly attends council meetings.

Director of Children's Service Coordination Responsibilities:

• Promotes the values of family support as listed in He-M 519.04(a) in area agency activities and initiatives
• Provides information to the Monadnock Family Council regarding family support activities so that the council understands families' needs, can act on families' needs and is involved in the area agency monitoring regional supports and services
• Facilitates the distribution of family support funds approved for by the council
• Represents the ideas and concerns of families and of family support staff to the MDS Executive Director and at management team meetings
• Acts as the primary liaison with the council and regularly attends council meetings
• Ensures that an individual or family has accessed all available funding and community resources prior to requesting funding for family supports from the council
• Provides feedback to other family support staff from the council and the management team
• Provides or assists families in accessing family supports and services
• Works with coordinators to identify the needs of transitioning youth and to ensure waitlist documentation is completed
• Solicits support for families from community groups, foundations and other sources as needed
• Ensures that service coordinators plan and develop agreements with each family that document the supports in He-M 519.04(c) that will be provided
• Ensures that records regarding the supports and services provided to each individual or family are maintained
• Reviews and approves all Family Action Plans including Transition FAP's and Basic Service Agreements for young adults transitioning to adult funded services
• Ensures that data that specifies the type and frequency of family supports and services provided is maintained
• Reports data collected to the Bureau on a monthly basis
• Ensures Family Support BDS contract requirements are met
• Participates in the development of Region 6 strategic plan
• Utilizes NH EASY (state system) on a regular basis

Director of Children's Service Coordination Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Director of Children's Service Coordination Requirements:

• 2-3 years supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal and management skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Positive thinker, organized and motivator
• Knowledge of community resources
• Ability to negotiate, facilitate and manage group interactions, including public presentations
• Moderate to proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
• Must possess a clear criminal, DMV and other background checks
• Must possess a valid driver's license and carry required auto insurance coverage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,000.00 - $59,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
