Momentum Telecom is Hiring a Project Intern Near Birmingham, AL

 

The Project Intern is part of the Account Management department, reporting to the EVP - Customer Experience. This role will focus on acquisition integrations by providing system research and analysis as needed by Operations. This individual must be detail-oriented and have experience staying on task to meet project timelines. This individual must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as part of the team and as an individual. The Project Intern must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Project Intern will also learn about all aspects of Operations, including Service Delivery, Support, Account Management, Contract Management, and system applications. The projects range from internal projects that include other departments, customer-facing projects, and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Manager of Sales Enablement, VP of Support and/or the EVP, Customer Experience. Critical projects involving a single department, to projects with visibility up through the office of the CEO. Projects will be overseen by the Manager of Sales Enablement.

 Project Responsibilities:

  • Accountability to ensure that projects are delivered accurately, timely and within scope
  • Work through a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Provide regular updates on project status and next steps to management

 Responsibilities Specific to this Role:

  • Support Account Management and multi-department projects and initiatives
  • Manage multiple tasks and efforts, prioritizing with general guidance while showing a significant attention to detail
  • Manage various projects and assignments as needed from management
  • Join and participate in all scheduled meetings and calls relevant to each project
  • Contribute to process improvement and efficiency

 Education and Experience

  • Previous experience (including internships) demonstrating collaboration between workgroups and ability to ask, learn, multitask, and work independently

 Location and Reporting to the Office

  • This position will report to the Momentum Birmingham office Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Alternate requests can be discussed during the hiring process.

This job description is not intended to be all inclusive, and the intern will also be required to perform other related duties and tasks, in accordance with business needs, as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management personnel.

Note: This role is classified as an internship/temporary/seasonal role, estimated to work less than 1000 hours. This role is not eligible for employee benefit programs, 401(k) plan participation or corporate bonus participation. In the event that someone is hired into a full time role at a later date, eligibility will be documented at that time.
