Currently maintaining 9 Grocery Stores, a Produce Warehouse and Headquarters in Mill Valley, CA, we succeed in the industry by ensuring we deliver a large variety of exciting and quality products in an attractive and positive environment.

About the Role:

Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Full Time Produce Manager at our Burlingame location. The perfect candidate will be customer service driven and be flexible working various tasks from day to day.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure freshness and quality of product upon delivery and restocking
  • Monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh product
  • Update and maintain product signage and department appearance
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times
  • Manages the department inventories by tracking weekly sales and reports
  • Manage produce department employees, train and develop, and assist in the hiring process for new candidates
  • Control department expenses by improving operation and efficiencies, by controlling labor costs and reducing losses due to shrinkage
  • Ensure that employees work and operate equipment in a safe manner at all times and comply with all requirements and guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Produce department
  • At least 1-2 years management experience
  • A passion for unique, fresh food and a team-centered attitude
  • Ability to identify quality or freshness of produce by sight or smell
  • Experience in executing goals, effectively creating change and increasing efficiency in a positive work environment
  • Available to work a flexible shift, including some evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Able to travel to multiple locations within Marin

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
