Molekule is looking for a smart, eager, and detail-oriented Administrator to support our People Operations team.

As the People Operations Administrator, you’ll be an integral part of the team, providing expertise and insight to ensure optimal processing and administration of both payroll and benefits programs across the organization. This is a newly created role reporting to our Chief People Officer and is an exciting opportunity to not only leverage your expertise, but also to learn and develop at a high growth company with a positive work culture.

What You Will Own:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Molekule, our payroll/benefits platform Paylocity and our benefits carriers and brokers.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for nearly 100 (and growing!) multi-state exempt and non-exempt employees including calculation and tracking of all additional pay types (bonuses, reimbursements, taxes, liens etc.).
  • Ensure new employees are set-up correctly in payroll, enrolled in benefits, and have W4’s/state tax forms completed.
  • Ensure all Leaves of Absence are tracked appropriately in Payroll & Benefits systems.
  • Own all documentation and maintenance of payroll and benefits records to meet the needs of our finance team.
  • Maintain multi-state compliance by opening new state unemployment insurance (SUI)and employer tax accounts, work with state labor & workforce departments on ongoing compliance and registration requests.
  • Manage compliance reporting such as: EEO-1 reporting, etc.
  • Field questions related to payroll and benefits from Molekule staff.
  • Administer monthly benefits billing based on enrollment.
  • Coordinate educational and training programs on changes in benefits, payroll as needed.
  • Develop and prepare communications to employees about benefit programs, procedures, claims and any other government mandated disclosures.
  • Conduct special analyses of findings and recommends practical solutions; audit and maintains employee files pertaining to payroll/benefits changes.
  • Complete employment verifications needed for Molekule staff.
  • Assist with onsite front desk duties in our manufacturing facility. 
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience processing multi-state payroll, and administering benefits programs.
  • 2 years working in the Paylocity platform strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll and strong working knowledge of general payroll protocols.
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite with a demonstrated capacity to learn new systems as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
