As an Assembly Operator you will help operate machinery and assemble components to produce a finished plastic product that meets customers’ requirements.
You should be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards and be willing to learn and improve. We also expect you to be a good team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies individually or on an assembly line working with other associates
• Perform Visual inspections and/or measure components
• Package components meeting all customer’s requirements
• Operate injection molding machines and/or secondary equipment such that cycles and standards are maintained while producing parts that meet customer requirements
• Perform a wide variety of functions to process the product to a finished condition.
• Assure that the completed product meets quality standards and is properly packed
• Document inspection processes and complete all paperwork required
• May train new employees as needed
• Participate in Kaizen or Lean events as required
• Will do matrix run
• Perform all cleaning and organizing of work area to meet 5s requirements
• Refers problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
• Some knowledge of machine and/or assembly operations
• Ability to perform repetitive motion work
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and give instructions
• Must have excellent attendance history
• Must have good dexterity
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with all levels of employees
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment
Fast pace office and manufacturing environment which can be demanding and some stress; including some noise, dust, thermoplastic and oil odors at times.
Physical Demands
Sitting, standing, bending and walking over extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment involving noise, dust, and some stress.
