We are looking for a QA Inspector to perform various in‑process quality inspections and product measurements. This includes first-piece inspection to assure customer requirements are met, documenting, and maintaining data to ensure that products meet customer requirements.

Your duties will include maintaining a high level of efficiency and quality and collaborating with co-workers to help your team achieve a strong level of productivity.

You should be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards and be willing to learn and improve. We also expect you to be a good team player.

QA Inspector responsibilities are:

Perform in-process quality inspections and audits of molded parts and assembly parts during the manufacturing process

Inspect received products and performs final audits of finished products

Perform first-piece inspections as required

Train and assist operators and assemblers in performing quality tasks as needed to meet quality production

Provide information for manufacturing files as needed

Ensure that all necessary information in the manufacturing process is appropriately documented

Assist set-up personnel with first-piece inspection when necessary

Interface with production set-up personnel and supervisor when problems arise

Perform all work tasks in a quality manner to meet all internal and external customer requirements

Recommend ideas and be active in meeting continuous improvements; assist in achieving department and company goals

Attend required training to achieve benchmark quality performance

Perform job duties in a safe manner and assist in achieving company safety goals

Maintain accurate inspection data and files to meet ISO procedures and customer requirements

Participate in Kaizen, Hoshin, and other Lean Manufacturing events

May need to work during inventory and participate in audits as required

Perform other related duties as assigned

QA Inspector requirements are:

2 years' experience of working in a quality inspection position

Knowledge of quality assurance policies, procedures, SPC, ISO, quality assurance audits, inspections, and accurate data documentation

Knowledge of IQMS preferred, other ERP systems acceptable

Knowledge of measuring equipment and ability to read blueprints

Excellent math skills

Ability to properly maintain records and document data

Ability to teach inspections and measuring techniques to others

Ability to work cooperatively with others in stressful situations

Must have good communication skills (written and verbal)

Must have good attendance and dependability

Significant experience with diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools

Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Intermediate computer skills, comfortable using tablets

Physical Requirements: standing, bending, pulling, pushing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; perform repetitive motion work

High school diploma or equivalent
