This position is responsible for assisting with the execution of various pre-planned and as-needed e-mail campaigns. Assists the Internet Marketing Manager with the implementation of e-mail marketing strategies and tactics in order to grow positive brand visibility and create communications conducive to increasing revenue. Creates e-mail campaigns by assisting with e-mail messaging development, target audience determination, scheduling and tracking the results to see whether or not it was successful. Also assists in the preparation of necessary graphic files and e-mail templates for MSCT, MSPD, Mohegan Sun Arena, Shops at Mohegan Sun, Sun Wine Fest, etc.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

• Responsible for developing and providing content that will motivate, entertain and cause interaction with users to increase visibility
• Creates e-mail marketing campaigns and online promotions that help build relationships with current and potential customers

• Builds, tests and executes E-mail marketing campaigns
• Participates in e-mail marketing campaigns including testing, mailing strategies, copy, design, file size growth and results analysis
• Manages the transient e-mail database

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with the Internet Marketing Manager to maintain the e-mail blast calendar
• Develops textual web content and schedules web updates
• Interacts with internal clients, offering them guidance on how to strategically improve their Internet marketing efforts
• Generates e-mail success reporting, as needed

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or a related field
• Three years of experience in web technology and marketing may be substituted for formal education
• Expertise in current Internet standards, including web browsers and browser specifications
• Must have knowledge of production management, web page design, HTML, CSS and web graphic types and standards
• Previous copywriting experience
• Knowledge of e-mail and database marketing and ability to work with data using Excel
• Familiarity with both Mac and PC platforms

Training Requirements:

• Knowledge of e-mail deliverability standards

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Office work environment
• Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
