Mogas Industries is Hiring a Robotic Thermal Spray Technician ll (Night Shift) Near Houston, TX

MOGAS Industries is seeking a well-qualified Robotic Thermal Spray Technicians (2nd shift) for our Houston location. The Thermal Spray Technician sprays coatings for valve components and other industrial equipment and responsible for maintaining and generating job processing documentation by valve serial numbers / job numbers. 

Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified candidates

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a minimum of five (3) plus years of related experience in HVOF and APS Applied Coatings
  • Must have a minimum of five (2) plus years related experience in programming robots and automation equipment.

Responsibilities and Essential Requirements:

  • Performs thermal spray of all aspects related to quality, troubleshooting, and completion with minimal Supervision.
  1. Operate manual and/or automated thermal spray equipment
  2. Demonstrates ability to modify robot programs
  3. Apply coatings per specifications to produce the completed product
  4. Perform quality checks as prescribed and report issues to lead and/or supervisor 
  5. Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot thermal spray equipment
  6. Follow Job Router Instructions and Complete work by the specified date
  7. Constructs balls mandrels and fabricates stem slot masking
  8. Install fixtures, apply masking and blast parts, as needed.
  9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensures documentation is completed in a timely and sufficient manner
  1. Ensures documentation is transferred over to the proper designate. 
  2. Digitally complete timely and accurately all required reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment
    • Maintain equipment in good working order
    • Perform preventative maintenance as prescribed by the manufacturing and internal procedures
    • Complete daily maintenance checklist. 
    • Ensure all required equipment is calibrated at appropriate intervals

  • Proficient in the use of Manual and Robotic Thermal Spray Equipment
  • Willingness to be cross-trained
