Duties and responsibilities:

• Prepares a variety of designs from bulk material, waterfront facilities such as marinas, container terminals, cargo handling equipment, marine oil terminals and pump stations and utilities (water / compressed air / sewer / stormwater) systems projects.
• Prepares equipment/materials specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings review for bulk material handling equipment, pumps, tanks and utilities.
• Prepare design documents (plans and specifications) with an emphasis in utility service design.
• Generate proposals and develop fee estimates for PS&E packages
• Design piping systems. 3d Modeling is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering design.
• Business level fluency in English; required.
• Fluency in Spanish; preferred
• Experience in design of bulk material handing projects.
• Acknowledgement in developing equipment specification, calculation, data sheets, drawings reviews and other documents related to mechanical design.
• Experience in piping design.
• Design experience in marine terminals is a plus.
• General understanding of process design, process flow diagram development, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development
• Some planning and task management skills
• AutoCAD basic experience.
• Revit experience is a plus.

Physical requirements: 

Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel and/or site visits may be required.
