Position status and work arrangement: Exempt, Full-time in San Diego, CA, on-site daily for a two-month training period. Afterward, on-site at least two days per week.Annual Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 depending on professional experience.Target start date: May 2024Job Summary: The IT Sys. Administrator II will work under the supervision of the System's lead and will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot internal systems and assist in server administration. The IT Sys. Administrators will use their IT experience to provide end-user support and resolve technical issues. The IT Sys. Administrator will help identify the root cause of technical problems and work to resolve issues promptly.The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and promotes a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments. This individual must be patient and confident in their ability to diagnose and simplify technical explanations to users and is located in San Diego, CA. Duties:

• Responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and maintaining workstations, servers, and network systems, including associated hardware.
• Provide technical support to employees.
• Help manage critical server systems.
• Monitor incoming support requests and respond in a timely manner.
• Employ Terraform, Ansible, and Docker tools to automate/control provisioning.
• Ability to work independently and motivated to seek opportunities for process improvement.
• Participate in scrum meetings and provide regular progress reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications / Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:

• U.S. Citizenship to obtain Security Clearance.
• Work at the San Diego, CA office daily for the first two months of employment, then at least two days per week.
• Have active Security and Linux certifications or acquire certifications within an established timeframe once hired.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• 3 Years of professional experience in Help Desk / IT Support.
• 3 Years of professional experience with Linux or Unix.
• 3 Years of professional experience with Bash Scripting and Command-Line.
• 2 Years of professional experience with Windows 10 or later.
• 3 Years of professional experience with Active Directory
• Strong problem-solving, research capabilities, time management, and task prioritization.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as physical labor is required.
• Must be available to work between 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. PST.
• Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from work.
