Modern Woodmen of America is Hiring a Fraternal Service and Programs Manager Near Rock Island, IL

Modern Woodmen of America, the nation’s third largest fraternal benefit society with assets over $17B, is seeking a pioneering leader for our Fraternal department. The role offers the opportunity to administer member programs, including Modern Woodmen’s lodge system/chapters.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and Lead: Motivate a team dedicated to providing exceptional service and administering innovative programs.
  • Innovate Fraternal Offerings: Continuously enhance and fortify our fraternal offerings, leveraging new ideas to maximize impact and relevance for the members we serve and their local communities.
  • Support Strategic Growth: Identify and seize opportunities aligned with Modern Woodmen's strategic objectives, particularly in expanding our membership base.
  • Cultivate Caring Culture: Foster a culture that is based on the fraternal spirit of caring by embracing opportunities and idea to make programs even more accessible and desirable to members.
  • Optimize Processes: Evaluate, refine, and oversee processes to ensure the efficient delivery and administration of fraternal programs. In particular, work closely with I.T. and other internal departments.
  • Forge Collaborative Relationships: Develop strong relationships within the home office, field and volunteer leaders to enhance collaboration and drive alignment with corporate goals. Work in partnership with the Fraternal Impact Department on key projects, training content development, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate External Partnerships: Maintain proactive communication and collaboration with external vendor partnerships, ensuring seamless integration and mutual success.
  • Support Regional Initiatives: Provide support for regional initiatives and strategic plans developed in collaboration with field leaders, driving collective success across diverse territories.
  • Ensure Administrative Excellence: Execute administrative duties effectively, including budgeting, reporting, and other tasks critical to operational success.
  • Continuously Learn: Stay abreast of contemporary service delivery and program management methods, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Achieve Goals: Work diligently to achieve departmental goals and contribute to the realization of Modern Woodmen's broader corporate objectives outlined in the Corporate Plan.
  • Be Adaptable: Flexibly perform additional duties as required, contributing positively to the overall effectiveness and success of the team.

What we need:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience.
  • Occasional overnight travel required, including weekdays and weekends. Approximately, 10-15% annually.
  • Service-oriented.
  • Passion and interest in fraternalism, volunteerism and philanthropy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinker, creative problem-solver, and experience implementing computer systems and digital applications.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and inclusive.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and grit.
  • Ability to lead change, motivate and mentor staff.

What we offer:

  • Pay: The annual pay range for this position is $100,000 -$114,000. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time, office focused, salaried position: minimum of 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
