Modern Legal PC is Hiring a Law Firm Administrative Assistant Near Fresno, CA

Modern Legal PC is a civil litigation firm, focusing on real estate and business law, with an immediate opening for a Law Firm Administrative Assistant.

The position will route calls using the Firm’s multi-line digital phone system, greet clients and visitors, assist with document and mail processing, assist with managing electronic and paper case files, maintain the reception and conference areas, enter information into the Firm’s practice management software, maintain the Firm’s consultation calendar, assist with opening and closing the office, and provide general support to the attorney and staff as needed/directed.

The position is in-office, full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hourly wage for the position is $16.00 - $22.00 per hour and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as paid time off and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications: A qualified candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, good writing and grammar skills, problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, the ability to follow specific instructions, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and be well-organized. Additionally, the Firm is seeking a candidate that is:

  • Professional and friendly, with strong customer service skills.
  • Punctual, organized, and courteous.
  • Able to accurately transcribe and copy information.
  • Able to demonstrate and work with attention to detail.
  • Experienced working in an office environment, preferably.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Able to communicate with professionalism and demonstrate strong listening skills.
  • Able to complete tasks independently and manage one’s own task list.
  • Able to work well and communicate as part of a team.
  • Able to quickly learn and efficiently navigate software programs, including the Firm’s practice management software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook specifically.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The position will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment at the Firm and will be expected to:

  • Welcome clients and other members of the public.
  • Professionally and accurately answer/route calls.
  • Ensure the reception and conference areas are maintained, stocked, and prepared for consultations, client meetings, mediations, and other meetings.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and maintain the cleanliness of the office.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
  • Manage the Firm’s consultation calendar and onboarding pipeline.
  • Assist with document and mail processing as well as maintenance of client files.
  • Assist staff members and attorney as needed.
