MOBIS Technical Center of North America is Hiring an Engineering Project Lead - EV, Electrification Near Plymouth, MI

You will work on cutting edge technology in the field of battery packs, Inverter, On-Board-chargers and 3-1 EDUs. A successful EPL will have excellent time management and prioritization skills as well focus on future mile-stone and dependencies. Position may require up to 10% of local and international travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

Ownership:

  • Projects schedule and ensuring team is aware of the future milestones and deliveries
  • Identify and communicate impediments to the successful completion of program milestones
  • Identify risk and timely escalation of issue - internally as well with externally (Customer and Supplier)

Manage:

  • Lead a cross-functional team and oversee all core team activities, establishing priorities
  • Engage in all stages of product development process from requirement, design, implementation, and testing following Mobis internal development process
  • Communicate with customers regarding product design and milestone definition and review

Resolve:

  • Mediate technical discussion with OE customers with support from engineering team
  • Collaborate and negotiate with global teams, suppliers, and customers to define project deliverable
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving by using 5 Phase, 8D and Fishbone methods

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
  • 7 years of automotive product development experience
  • 2 years of experience with HV (BEV or PHEV) products – OBC/Inverter/DCDC etc.
  • 2 years of project management in multi-disciplinary environment
  • High level of English verbal, written and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO, IEC, ASPICE and others.
  • Familiarity with product development in compliance with cybersecurity and functional safety processes and methods.
  • Korean language skills a plus.

Travel:

  • Position may require up to 10% of local and international travel as needed.
