Externship Core Responsibilities (What will this person do on a day-to-day basis)

  • Serve as key programming and POSM resource for National Accounts Off Premise, DPMs, Distributors and coordinators across all 3 regions to ensure awareness of all National Account programming tools.
  • Lead project management for all development of in store media plan.
    • Coordinate and communicate updates & POSM orders between Trade Marketing, Brands, Regions and National Accounts.
    • Monitor the A&P budget to ensure successful program execution at targeted budget levels and A&P oversight (management assistance of monthly accruals, reclasses, chargebacks).
    • Develop new initiatives to drive shopper engagement and amplify the shopper journey.
    • Participate in development of customer specific programming to support National Account activation and presentations.
    • Become a respected player within MHUSA and work closely with departments of CC&I COE, National Accounts, Trade Marketing, BI, Procurement and Legal to .
    • Develop product expertise and a strong sense of market dynamics through training, market visits, and frequent customer interactions.
  • Publish POSM reporting including tracking and order forms.

Projects:

  • Support channel programs by managing vendors, projects and programs (i.e. Vestcom, Motive, Neptune Solutions, Americhip, etc.)
  • Lead development of H1 & H2 Activation Plans, previous year highlights, toolkit of vendors, and any other reporting.
  • POSM Management (build tracking reports, field inquiries, manage allocations and coordinate logistics).
    Lead development of programming and tool development (research customer opportunities, participate in writing briefs, collaborate with Trade Marketing & Brand teams).

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. MBA or master’s degree in progress or completed, preferred.
  • Internships and past work experience in Marketing within Wine & Spirits, CPG, Luxury etc.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated interest in Pop Culture and Wine & Spirits industry is a plus
  • Desire to learn industry best practices and grow in an enterprise organization
