We are collaborating with a leading Boston-based law firm in their search for a Patent Attorney with expertise in chemistry, including areas like medicinal chemistry, small molecule research, pharmaceuticals, drug discovery, and synthetic chemistry. Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute high-quality U.S. patent applications in a range of chemistry-related fields.
• Efficiently respond to office actions from the USPTO.
• Perform in-depth patent searches and due diligence.
• Act as a vital member of our team, supporting and benefiting from a culture of mentorship and professional growth.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Chemistry, with a focus on areas such as medicinal chemistry, small molecules, pharmaceuticals, drug discovery, or synthetic chemistry.
• 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Admission to the USPTO preferred; MA Bar membership a plus.
• Strong academic credentials and exceptional writing skills.
