Who We Are

The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA) provides leadership and resources for sexual assault programs and allies to prevent sexual violence while promoting a comprehensive, socially just response for all victims/survivors. We support, convene, and collaborate with sexual assault programs, advocates, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers to promote a more victim-centered response to sexual violence, and increase effective criminal justice. Our prevention programs take action before someone is harmed, and we work with policy makers and elected officials for laws and programs that fight sexual violence. MNCASA provides:

  1. Victim and Survivor Support by helping partner programs and medical personnel, law enforcement, and legal and social service providers deliver state of the art victim advocacy and support.
  2. Prevention Support by developing the capacity of partner programs and others to design and implement effective community-level primary prevention strategies.
  3. Policy Reforms through public policy education and advocacy.
  4. Systems Change by developing capacity in medical, criminal justice, social service, and judicial systems to incorporate a coordinated and victim-centered approach into their responses.

Wages & Benefits

$115,000 - $125,000 annual salary range; generous paid time off (PTO) policy; 9 paid holidays in addition to a paid year-end holiday break December 24-December 31; paid employee volunteer time; competitive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; agency-sponsored retirement savings plan with immediate vesting and 4% employer match.

A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as MNCASA’s Executive Director provides an opportunity to lead the organization's strategic direction, manage its operations, and advocate for systemic change. This role involves working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, members, and community partners to foster a collaborative environment and ensure the effective delivery of programs and services. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Leading strategic planning and implementation to achieve MNCASA's mission and vision.
  • Advocating for policy changes and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Overseeing financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Diversifying funding, focusing on philanthropic and earned revenue.
  • Engaging and collaborating with community partners, donors, and policymakers.
  • Ensuring the development and delivery of high-impact programs and services.
  • Championing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and its initiatives.
  • Supervising the Directors Team and coordinating with the Board of Directors.
  • Representing MNCASA to external stakeholders and completing assigned tasks.

Who You Are

  • You have previous experience as an Executive Director or in a similar leadership role within a nonprofit.
  • You have previous experience with managing, supervising, and cultivating staff.
  • You demonstrate a strong commitment to ending sexual violence.
  • You are highly skilled in strategic planning and organizational leadership.
  • You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
  • You have previous experience in financial management, fundraising, and community engagement.
  • You possess a deep understanding of racial justice and have experience working with diverse communities.
  • You have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
