Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based out of our New York City, NY office.

PMO POD Lead

As the PMO POD Lead, you will be accountable for the backlogs of the internal business tooling & user experience and daily management of the non-digital (core) tooling systems across MMC Tech. The key systems vary in scope of this role and will manage all Workflows and start to build Robotics/AI and automation into our processes.

We will count on you to

  • Working directly with Shared Services PMO Leader and our key stakeholders in Application Management Support, other PMO Leaders.
  • Be responsible for prioritization of ADO Backlogs, management and delivery of the back log using 60/90 days planning for PPM Suite (Planview) product.
  • Be responsible for the daily management of related Planview Tooling products working closely with Shared Services PMO Leader, TPM & Product Owner
  • Work collaboratively with the BUs and customers, business process owners and development and project teams to create user stories that are aligned to the overall delivery of organisational goals and desired customer outcomes for our Tooling Strategy for E1 and Agile tools.
  • Carry out detailed analysis of user needs, business requirements, impact, scope, risks, benefits, and technical dependencies for user stories.
  • Ensure all user stories are captured, created, and maintained in the product backlog, written in the agile user story format, with relevant support documentation and clearly defined acceptance criteria for each story.
  • Work collaboratively with interdependent teams and processes to provide understanding of the user stories to ensure designs are aligned.
  • Ensure the product backlog is accurately prioritized through regular discussion and review with a Business Owners, and other key business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical input into the business cases that are produced by the Technical Product Manager and Business Owners
  • Be a key contributor in an ongoing optimization program, including testing and personalization.
  • Understand, communicate, and drive optimisation of all leading metrics and KPIs and OKRs across MMC Tech Strategic Roadmap and aligning Best Practice in ADO and our Agile Tooling


What you need to have:

  • 15 years of IT and business industry work experience, with at least 10 years in an Agile delivery and tooling and process management role.
  • Product and Project Management experience preferably in a demanding, fast paced Fortune 500 Global organization, and leading global cross functional teams.
  • Working experience with Agile principals and/or tools.
  • Six Sigma knowledge preferred
  • Agile and Scrum knowledge preferred.
  • Must be a detail oriented, analytical, and an independent thinker.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with technical teams and can distill complex technical issues into understandable issues for process owners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Client relationship management in a large global organization.
  • Strong Customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile concepts and current technology protocols and standards.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Scrum Master and P30 or Prince 2 certifications

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $105,100 to $209,100.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
