Job description

Case Manager oversees the support provided to the ligation team through use of technology. The role focus areas are calendar, client interaction, serving, filing, document management and bates stamping, scheduling, external and internal communications.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversees all calendar deadlines and deposition scheduling.
• Assist Litigation Manager in designing, implementing, and maintaining litigation databases.
• Serve pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and document demands and file documents with the courts.
• Assist and Follow-up with new client questionnaire “care packages”, correspondence and documents to experts.
• Negotiate medical liens and contact to obtain documents regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers.
• Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies.
• Draft legal documents for attorney(s) review.
• Work with Litigation Manager on communicating case status with clients and outside counsel as requested.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software.

• Working knowledge of legal database software.
• Experience in preparing legal reports.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4 years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
