A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As the Senior Product Engineering Manager, you will lead an engineering team in designing, developing, and delivering our via drilling systems. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, including roadmap planning, new product introduction, and improving released products, while managing a team of systems, applications, and quality assurance engineers. You will report to the Sr Director of Engineering. More about us: www.esi.com
You Will Make an Impact By:
Managing the development of new via drilling products by
Turning product requirements into specifications and detailed designs capable of meeting performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and other targets
Managing schedules and resources, adjusting project staffing as needed to meet requirements
Following DfX best practices to ensure that new products meet reliability, manufacturability, and other requirements to ensure the health of the product throughout the life cycle
Supporting released products, including:
Planning and executing continuous improvement projects
Developing solutions for customers' special requests
Addressing customer escalations
Developing the strategic plan and product roadmaps, working with product management and program management
Working with our Platform development team to create and execute the technology roadmap required to deliver to the strategic plan
With program managers, managing multiple simultaneous development projects, meeting schedule, cost, and product capability goals
Staffing and developing your team as required, ensuring that the right capabilities are in place to meet changing needs
Transferring new products and changes to downstream organizations, including Operations and Service, enabling their success
Providing and presenting reports as required to upper-level management and customers on project status
Occasional work hour flexibility to accommodate workers and contractors across multiple time zones
Ability to travel nationally and globally up to 15% of the time
Skills that You Bring:
BA/BS degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Science, etc.)
10 years of on the job experience, designing and delivering complex automated systems, with a strong track record of success
3 years managing technical teams
Preferred Skills:
MS degree in a technical discipline highly desirable
Experience demonstrating products and achieving design wins
