JOB OVERVIEW As a Customer Solutions Pre-Bid Specialist, this role will work closely with the Customer Solutions Project Manager providing technical support, implement KONE products and service solutions that meet customer’s needs. The CSM Specialist will perform tender engineering when required to help determine best solutions to project requirements. Provide support in answering customer’s technical questions as well as support the Front Line with technical issues. The CSM Specialist will be the liaison between the Supply Line and the Front Line during the tendering, tech review, approval process, answering questions and ensure any outstanding issues or missing information is resolved in a timely manner. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Customer relationship management Supports the CSM Project Managers with Front Line by analyzing customers’ technical needs and develops proposals outlining how KONE’s products and services can provide clear solutions to meet these needs. Available to attend meetings as required for engineering solutions and technical support. Acquire input from Supply Line Order Engineering staff, relative to custom design and interface of KONE products to existing equipment applications. Organize technical details for modernization tendering purposes. Offer value-engineering concepts. Provide Prebid support when required. Technical Sales Support in the Customer process Provides technical and costing support for the tendering process. Supports CSM Project Managers with tendering and solution Engineering. Ensures that projects reviewed fulfills the codes, regulations, and safety requirements. Support or provide basic traffic analysis. Supports EnerCal studies as needed. Participates in Pre-Tender and Survey meetings as needed. Works with Operations on installation / survey questions as needed. Technical support in the Delivery process Works with Supply Line Teams resolving outstanding issues and questions. Provide support to Front Lines on most demanding projects. Manages the internal management of drawing and related documents. Database knowledge acquired from specification review and engineering input in a logical, organized medium, offering ease in retrieval by others. Answer tech Review questions as required or work with Front Line to answer tech review questions. Updates and maintains the quality of the CSM Case Library. Provide specific detailed instructions to Front Lines on what information is required to ensure Order Engineering can successfully list and provide the right materials. Complete weekly and monthly reports relating to modernization tendering support activities. Support Front Lines, CSM Project Managers to ensure projects are sold and engineered correctly. Work with field operations on installation processes and field support as needed. The ideal candidate for the industrial engineer position should possess a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, adept at distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information to identify root causes and propose practical solutions. Collaboration is key, as this role requires ability to cultivate trust and teamwork, and respect from diverse viewpoints. Openness to new ideas is crucial, encouraging the exchange of innovative approaches and building upon the contributions of others. Should demonstrate strong leadership skills and be an effective communicator as well as highly detail oriented and organized. HIRING REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) Minimum 5 years of relevant Engineering experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word. Knowledge of SAP or similar software applications Must possess project management skills.
