Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Accountant and play a key role in driving excellence in our full-cycle accounting processes! You'll be responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting function in a given month in various areas such as Accrued Liabilities, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Software, Payroll related entries, and month-end account reconciliations. You will extend your support in preparing periodic financial statements and financial reporting to MiTek's holding company.

What you'll do:

* Assisting with business unit month-end and year-end close;

* Preparing monthly journal entries and related support schedules;

* Preparing month-end balance sheet account reconciliations;

* Assisting with preparation of business unit financial statements;

* Maintaining and updating accounting policies and procedures;

* Providing data for annual budget;

* Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and software schedules in CCH;

* Analyzing general ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Accounting required or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis

* Up to 1 Year Entry level experience required. Previous experience in public accounting or manufacturing related accounting and reporting a plus.

* Able to use Microsoft Office Applications

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - External Agency/Certifier Certified Public Accountant preferred

* 10% Travel to domestic MiTek locations as needed.
