About the Position:

The Logistics Data Analyst identifies and resolves business issues and recommends operational improvements based on conclusions drawn from; analyzing data, generating reports; and formulating / testing hypotheses. This role utilizes business knowledge, project management and consulting skills to collaborate with internal departments including, warehouse, logistics, IT, customer service and finance.

1. Analyze and identify issues related to business infrastructure
2. Generate reports on various operational problems using statistical analysis
3. Develop and present findings related to workflow or operational efficiencies
   • Advise on solutions and courses of action; assist with implementation of initiatives
   • Develop action plans aligned with MISUMI USA business objectives
   • Follow-up on progress and ensure completion and effectiveness of solutions
4. Support New and Updated Implementations
   • Develop project task lists, assign resources and hold team accountable and on track
   • Document, track, and monitor application's bugs, problems, and issues to ensure timely resolution
   • Perform quality control tests and keep logs of problems, issues, changes, and future enhancements
   • Execute setup and configuration of software to meet business needs
   • Develop user guides for application and application-related materials
5. Support Distribution Operations and Kaizen activities
   • Work with distribution team to understand processes, business requirements, data structure and challenges
   • Seek opportunities to continuously improve service and customer satisfaction
6. Maintain strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations and complete all other duties as assigned

What We Need from You:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Statistics or related field
2. 3 years of experience in logistics and analysis or related field
3. Strong quantitative data analysis and problem-solving skills
4. Advanced knowledge with MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
5. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
6. Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management
7. Willing and eager to learn and adjust to new challenges
8. Extremely proactive self-starter that anticipates next tasks before it is assigned
9. Solution oriented; translates analyses and grasp of challenges into value-add implementable solutions valuable for the team; ensures buy-in and understanding
10. Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment
11. Understands organizational dynamics and adapts behavior accordingly
