Missouri Valley Christian Academy,a non-denominational Christian K-8 school in Yankton, South Dakota, is seeking a Upper Elementary/Middle School Math, Science, and History Teacher. This is a full-time salaried position in a mixed grade classroom environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

•  A committed Christian who is active in an evangelical church
•  Align with the core values and mission of the school.
• Take God’s Word not as a simple concept to be taught, but as truth to be lived in worship, service, and interpersonal relationships.
• Reflect a life, both personally and professionally, that is Christ-like and based on biblical values.
• Understand, appreciate, love, and serve the students entrusted to them for instruction, and provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.
• Must be organized and self-motivated, taking initiative to complete tasks and looking for new tasks, looking to find solutions to problems as they arise.
• Demonstrates responsibility and can maintain confidential or sensitive information.
• Knowledge and proficiency of computers, databases, e-mail procedures, Microsoft Office and Google programs, and modern office equipment, practices and procedures.

Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Education/subject area.

Job Type:

· Full-time, 10 month (August-June), annually contracted, exempt/salaried position

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday 7:45-4:30 and other hours as needed.

Experience:

· Previous education experience, preferably in a Christian School.
