Missouri Ozarks Community Action is Hiring a Mental Health Professional (LPC/LCSW) Near Richland, MO

General Description:

Provide early childhood mental health consultation support to Head Start/Early Head Start staff, children, and families.

Location: This position will be required to travel to these center locations on a regular basis throughout the school year. Company vehicle, Lebanon, Richland, Camdenton, Eldon, and Iberia. This position will have an area within Head Start Central Office.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Missouri State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) Preferably a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling with an understanding of Early Childhood Development and Early Childhood Mental Health.
  • Must have experience with serving young children (birth to 5) and include pregnant and post-partum women.
  • Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities: (full layout of duties in job description)

  • Collect data and maintain records to support compliance in all facets of the Head Start Performance and State Regulations
  • Conduct observations and assessments in classrooms or through home visits
  • Must be experience formulation and writing assessment and support plans; experience with evidence based practices and curricula to promote Early Childhood mental health.
  • Provide screening, assessment and referral services
  • Consult with classroom staff, parents
  • Collaborate with other organizations that provide services to children with disabilities
  • Experience with a Trauma informed approach in the practice

Job Type: Full Time

Work Week--Monday-Friday-paid holidays
