Job Title: Comptroller
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Summary: Responsible for assisting with the supervision and management of the financial plans and policies including planning, controlling and directing the accounting and financial reporting systems. Performs a wide range of duties which require tact, judgment, independent action and the ability to handle multiple assignments with critical timelines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Provides oversight, assistance, and guidance for all functions of the Core Operations Team.Assists with preparation of budgets, reviewing budget proposals, and preparing necessary supporting documentation and justification.Maintains relations with banks and other financial institutions.
• Provides timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.Prepares and analyzes reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
• Maintains up to date knowledge regarding compliance with federal and state grants and contracts requirements.Evaluates Missouri Enterprise compliance with same and advises management regarding any action needed.
• Monitor and advise CFO, CEO, & Board on cash management, investments as well as state and federal tax issues.
• Arranges for and oversees audits of company's accounts.
• Responsible to keep continually cross trained in all other functions of the core operations team to as back up or provide assistance when necessary.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has assistant supervisory responsibilities for the core operations team.

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelors degree or higher or equivalent experience in a relevant field combined with appropriate business experience sufficient to reflect the professional stature of Missouri Enterprise and to earn credibility on its behalf.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license is required.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to participate in overnight travel 10% of the time.
