REPORTS TO: Behavioral Health Supervisor, Clinical Director, Corporate Compliance
SUPERVISED BY: Behavioral Health Supervisor; Regional Manager; Agency Clinical Manager (LMHP); Corporate Compliance Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Provide individual, group and family therapy to the clients participating in the Day Treatment/PSR programs
 An ideal candidate will enjoy working with children and families; be flexible and creative; have the ability to participate in physical activities such as recess, recreational outings, and crisis intervention
 Operate both programs in accordance with client needs, psychological abilities, and written treatment plan.
 Provides support to the PSR program by helping adult participants with daily living skills training including assistance in nutrition, financial and home management, accessing community resources, recreation, pre-vocational services, development of support systems, diagnosis, and medication management, etc.
 Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to provide culturally competent treatment services to diverse client populations and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others in a culturally diverse environment
 Serve as a member of the multi-disciplinary Treatment Team and attends the Team's weekly meetings.
Assist in the formulation of each client's overall treatment plan, discharge criteria, and ultimate placement recommendations.
 Maintain appropriate on-going contact with parents/guardians/case managers as related to each client's treatment needs.
 Studies evaluate, and report on each client's progress, response, and reaction to therapy for continued review and appraisal by the Treatment Team.
 Maintain adequate supplies to provide optimal therapeutic activities in a cost effective manner.
 Demonstrate ability in providing case management services and compliance with confidentially.
 Knowledge of community resources and treatment agencies enabling appropriate referrals for specific client needs.
 Actively participate in required monthly supervision
 Ability to master proprietary software required, including electronic health record system.
 Requires a valid MS driver's license

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Mental Health Therapist (MHT) must meet the following educational criteria:
 A Master of Social Work degree; or
 A Master of Arts, Science or Education degree in a mental health related field (an academic program with a curriculum content in which at least seventy percent of the required courses for the major field of study are based upon the core mental health disciplines); and
 DMH credentialed as a Certified Mental Health Therapist or Provisionally Certified Mental Health Therapist
