Mississippi Behavioral Health Services is Hiring a Part-Time Mental Health Therapist Near Starkville, MS

Join our team at Mississippi Behavioral Health Services, LLC, a leading provider of community-based mental health services. We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist who is passionate about providing strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services. In this role, you will work closely with our clients, assessing their strengths, resources, and goals, and providing ongoing treatment. You will also be responsible for crisis intervention and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in our clients' lives and to collaborate with a team of professionals committed to promoting mental health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services in the community.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' strengths, resources, and goals within the first 30 days of treatment.
  • Develop and maintain Individualized Crisis Recovery Plans for each client.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with staff, other agencies, and community supports as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Communicate clients' status regularly, documenting changes in mood, functioning, medical issues, and any crisis or health and safety issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all client interactions.
  • Attend all office trainings and regular clinical supervision sessions.
  • Actively participate in all evaluations conducted by the organization.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Social Work or a mental health related field.
  • DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) hours of graduate level course work and/or practicum experience in applied intervention strategies/methods designed to address behavioral, emotional and mental disorders.
  • Proficiency in using computer interfaces for documentation and billing purposes.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
