Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing for the noninvasive laboratory of Cardiology Services, including two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal and stress echocardiography.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Required Education: Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or have practiced as a sonographer for greater than 2 years
  • Required License: Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers; or be registry eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment. BCLS (Adult).
  • Preferred License: ACLS (Adult)
  • Required Experience: Cardiology Echo: 2 years practicing as a sonographer. Physician Practice: 0-2 years experience; will accept new graduates
  • Preferred Experience: 5 years practicing as a sonographer
