What you’ll be doing as an Insurance Service Representative:- Answer incoming calls with questions about insurance policies and insurance coverage issues, as well as consumer complaints and general inquiries.
- Demonstrate accuracy in processing client policy modifications on multiple insurance carrier platforms.
- Assist agency producers with incoming requests for insurance quote.
- Import insureds information into the agency platform allowing producers to reach out for quotes or other service needs.
- Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies.
- Assist insureds with claims and follow up on all claim notifications we receive from the carrier.
- Communicate with insureds that are up for renewal and assist in scheduling appointments with producers when an insured would like a renewal review.
- Process BOR requests with our multiple carriers.
- Assist with maintaining the Agencies social media platforms and other marketing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date on new marketing efforts to answer insurance product inquiries utilizing all resources available.
- Handle complaints, present appropriate solutions, and alternatives within the timeframes set, and follow up to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of and complies with all LiveSmart Insurance Services, departmental and security policies and procedures, as well as, federal regulations applicable to the position, including Department of Insurance requirements. Completes all required compliance training as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Who’s qualified to be an Insurance Customer Service Representative?
Education: High School Degree, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience in customer service is required. Knowledge of insurance products and policies is preferred. P&C License is a plus.
Skills & Abilities: Excellent active listening, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Software: Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of Agency Management Systems (QQ Catalyst) and carrier systems is preferred.
