The Golf Shop Attendant position serves a member services function for the Club in our Golf Department. In addition to performing whatever service a member or guest might require this person must gain knowledge of, creatively display and sell merchandise in the golf shop, as well as assist in recording and reporting golf facility usage.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Advise members and guests about merchandise.
• Regularly rearrange displays in Golf Shop.
• Record all sales transactions.
• Collect and records green fees and cart fees.
• Issue receipts for green fees and cart fees.
• Record and deliver phones messages for members, guests and staff.
• Assist in receiving, pricing and displaying merchandise.
• Recruit tournament participants.
• Assist in placing, recording, receiving and billing of special orders.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization or the stock/storage areas.
• Schedule tee times.
• Clean (vacuum, dust & straighten displays) the Golf Sop during each shift.
• Assist with filing and labeling.
• Check in members and guests for golf.
• Confirm that members abide by the rules of the club and the stipulations of their membership.
• Complete other duties and assignments made by the Golf Professional Staff.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good attitude
• Highly motivated
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand on feet for extended period of time

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle or feel. The employee is required to sit and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
