As a Trading Analyst, you will play an important role on our investment team. The ideal candidate will analyze financial data, executing trades, and assisting in portfolio management. You will work closely with our team and will report to the Director of Portfolio Management. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in investment principles, possesses strong analytical abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Trading: Collaborate with the investment team to implement trades spanning various security types such as stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, and structured products.
• Execution: Execute trades efficiently across multiple custodians using a range of applications, ensuring best practices.
• Optimization: Continuously improve internal processes, insuring streamlined operations and reducing operational risks.
• Maintenance: Maintain and refine our trading systems, internal processes, electronic files, and any other reporting as necessary.
• Research: Provide in-depth research on investment holdings and portfolio positioning.
• Analysis: Develop and analyze key performance indicators for the firm.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the client service team to address any trading-related queries or clarifications

Role Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment management, preferably within a wealth management or asset management firm.
• Professional certifications (working toward CFA, Series 65, etc.) are a plus.

Competencies

• Excellent communication skills.
• General knowledge of financial markets, investment vehicles, and portfolio management principles.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Compliance-oriented mindset with a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable working independently.
