Job Description:

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in the kitchen to lead our team of culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will have years of experience working in restaurants and high-quality hotels, and will be capable of managing the daily operations of both kitchen staff and front-of-house employees. Our Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring that meals are served correctly, on time, and with a high level of customer service. The position requires direct supervision of kitchen staff as well as administrative responsibilities such as completing staff schedules, ordering food and supplies, and planning menu options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan menus and oversee kitchen operations, including inventory of food, equipment and supplies.
  • Create a daily schedule for staff and monitor performance.,.
  • Write and submit reports to the owner on a regular basis.
  • Oversee the hiring and training of new employees.,.
  • Ensure that business remains steady and increases in revenue.
  • Train employees to adhere to health regulations, such as preparing food for customers and handling utensils.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a high volume (3-4M ) restaurant or bar (casual dining)
  • Ability to provide effective coaching in a respectful manner
  • Ability to obtain any required Manager Safe Serve Certification
  • Ability to prep, cook and train all culinary procedures
  • Ability to manage ordering, receiving, invoicing, inventory procedures
  • Computer skills preferred, Microsoft Office tools
  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 6 to 9 hours at a time
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of all Team player functions
