Now hiring a Die Repair Machinist for a manufacturing company in Cleveland for 1^st shift, 6am – 4:30pm.

Monday – Thursday with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Weekly pay ranging between $25 - $28 per hour, depending on experience.

The Die Repair Machinist is responsible for the manual operation and repair of Die Cast Tooling machinery.

Job Duties:

• Makes Repairs to Die Cast Tooling.
• Works from drawings to analyze difficulties and diagnose repairs needed.
• Set up & operate standard tool room equipment including manual Bridgeport mills, Manual Engine Lathes, Drill Presses, Band Saws and Surface Grinders to machine parts for die casting equipment.
• Uses precision measuring devices.
• Makes new slides, cores, ejector pins and pinions.
• Cleans die cavities.
• Polishes molds and cores.
• Adjust gates as needed.
• Removes drag, straightens cores, drills water lines, etc.
• Assists in removing stuck castings from molds as needed. 
• Routinely review production schedule and die repairs needed list to ensure dies are ready for production. 
• Work directly with other department supervisors to expedite priority jobs in order to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Ability to communicate with production manager, set up and foundry supervisors to assure dies are operating effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum three years foundry or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years die repair.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team; must be able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to problem solve and multitask.
• Must be able to drive a Forklift.
