Position Posting Summary:
Minnnwest is looking for a Community Reinvestment Officer to lead our CRA programs and drive progress in our communities through a strategic CRA plan and approach. The Community Reinvestment Officer engages with Bank management and community leaders in our footprint to provide leadership, direction and oversight in achieving compliance with the Bank’s CRA strategic plans and program requirements. This leadership position will play a critical part in ensuring the bank has a positive and visible role in community economic development activities, events, and initiatives. As the subject matter expert internally, this individual will consult and advise senior leadership and internal teams to elevate awareness of CRA program elements working collaboratively across all departments in the bank to implement.

Minimum Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.), preferably business related or a minimum of 5 years bank compliance experience
• Certifications to include CBAP, CCBCO, CRCM or comparable certification

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years bank regulatory CRA experience
• Thorough banking and compliance knowledge
• Experience in interpreting and applying state, federal, and agency legal and regulatory compliance requirements
• CRA examination experience

Skills

• Well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the company, including senior management and staff
• Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills in working with people and developing relationships
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate for other staff, considering and acknowledging impact across all areas of the business
• Thrives in a dynamic environment and loves learning new skills
• Appreciates a balance of working independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bank compliance examination experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

Working Conditions: Work indoors in a standard office environment. May involve traveling for training or meetings. Initial onboarding and training period may involve extensive travel across Minnesota.
