OBJECTIVE:

The Accountant provides support to the accounting team. This individual will be responsible for many aspects of the general accounting function including; processing payables and receivables, generating improved intercompany billings, performing account reconciliations, assisting with monthly close, and financial analysis for multiple entities. Compiles and prepares financial statements and reports. Assists with annual budget preparation and related manager communication. Completes various surveys, studies, and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred or Associates Degree with Accounting emphasis and recent highly relevant experience
• 4 years’ work experience in Accounting environment; healthcare preferred
• Superior organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects at a time, ability to adapt and change plans based on priority shifts
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Bill.com, Excel and general knowledge of accounting software & financial systems
• Exceptional ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare account reconciliations in a timely manner, using analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve reconciling items.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and special reports.
• Prepare journal entries accurately, with supporting documentation
• Mutual learning and collaboration with accounting team members, to improve processes and fill in as needed.
• Help develop and maintain effective internal control policies and procedures.
• Prepare schedules and support for external compilations, audit and tax preparation
• Special projects to support change and efficiency
• Other duties as necessary
