Minneapolis Club is Hiring a Director of Outreach Near Minneapolis, MN

Job Summary
This role is responsible for membership sales with external outreach and supporting internal membership programs. This role will involve participating in the restaurant, member programming, and other areas where membership sales and retention are essential. This job is on-site in our beautiful downtown Minneapolis location.
Essential Job Functions
Membership Sales
  • Actively promote and sell Club Memberships to individuals and corporations.
  • Proactively uncover opportunities in the local market for memberships
  • Conduct tours to showcase amenities and highlight the value of the Club’s offerings.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to meet or exceed monthly membership targets.
  • Collaborate with membership, events, marketing, and food and beverage departments to offer promotions for events, private dining, member programming, and more.
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events to attract new members and guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and production.
Professionalism
  • Put members first - go above and beyond their expectations to satisfy their needs and provide the highest quality service.
  • Always convey a professional attitude with the utmost respect towards club and team members.
  • Be sincere and hospitable in all dealings with members.
  • Take personal responsibility for all member requests.
  • Always maintain a positive attitude and look for positive outcomes in all opportunities.
Food & Beverage Service
  • Must have the ability to function in all Food & Beverage front-of-house roles with supervision and competency to ensure support of the team.
Event planning
  • Comfortable planning an event and collaborating with other departments.
Communication
  • Maintain open communication channels and be receptive to all departments and staff members.
  • Read, write, and convey oral messages clearly and concisely.
  • Actively participate in all meetings.
  • Ensure that the information needed to execute the shift proficiently is disseminated and understood.
  • Understand and support all programs and initiatives the Club's management team has communicated.
  • Report all accidents, damage, vandalism, or hazards to the appropriate department.
  • Daily shift reports when in the restaurant
  • Weekly reporting for the membership department
Job Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years in sales, marketing, customer service, and/or restaurants
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality, membership, or restaurant industry.
  • Outgoing, energetic, creative, and organized.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Proven ability to lead a shift and staff.
  • The ability to resolve conflict quickly and effectively, strong decision-making skills, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations. Displays a sense of urgency.
  • Professional and positive image. Energetic, friendly, approachable, and highly motivated to deliver exceptional service.
  • The role will be required to work a flexible schedule to ensure efficient and effective communication and operations in the department, including assisting in both the restaurant and events. This will include flexible workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to use Canva is a plus
Reporting Relationships & Scope of Responsibility
Supervision of front of house staff while on duty.
Professionalism with leads and members.
This role represents the Club internally and externally.
Familiar with the formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies, and procedures, including some familiarity with other departments within the club. The ideal candidate would be sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the various departments of the club.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must sit and reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
