Minivasive Pain and Orthopedics is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Spring, TX

We are looking for ambitious and energetic leaders to join our team in Spring, TX as a full-time, Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a clinical provider maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring acute care. Affects direct patient care according to the nurse practice act of the State of Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide medical care under the direction of the physician
  • Conducts comprehensive health assessments (initial, ongoing, discharge), identifies normal/abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, initiates appropriate interventions, and evaluates care outcomes on defined patient populations(s)
  • Performs delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and/or standing orders. Accepts accountability for outcomes in health care
  • Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Collaborates with the Physician and healthcare team members to manage/coordinate patient care
  • Record accurate consultation data in patients' records
  • Charting in the patient's medical record is routinely to be completed on the same day as the patient's visit
  • Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings/reports
  • Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualized patient care
  • Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice
  • Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing/documentation
  • See patients in a timely and efficient manner, stay reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occur
  • Maintains current licensure and credentials. Remains current in practice
  • Responds and comply to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails
  • Report statistics as required
  • Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
  • Follows all safety rules on the job. Reports all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the work place
  • Travels as necessary to other facilities
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Our clinic is subject to the CMS vaccine mandate. You must be fully vaccinated before you may begin employment with us. While our company currently does not have a vaccine mandate, we're obligated to enforce any applicable mandates under federal law.
  • Recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
  • BLS, ACLS
  • Must have reliable transportation for traveling
