Mini Mall Storage Properties is Hiring a Director, Operations Near Plano, TX

Established in 2020, Mini Mall Storage Properties has been successfully acquiring storage facilities throughout North America with rapid expansion in the United States. We have a team of talented and diverse self-storage experts who span across 15 states and 7 provinces to support and manage our rapid growth across North America. With over 37,000 units and almost 5 million square feet of self-storage space, our goal is to make storage simple and accessible throughout life’s transitions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Liaison with facility management on OPEX and CAPEX construction portfolio projects.
  • Provide post-acquisition operational support, which could include up to 50% travel required.
  • Support regional operations managers within assigned facilities, being responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned accounts/campuses.
  • Continually analyze and refine operational procedures for improved efficiency and quality, including development and implementation of best practices in inventory management, security protocols, and customer service.
  • Monitor budgets for all operational areas, monitor financial performance, and make necessary adjustments to drive profitability.
  • Provide analytical reporting on KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and ensure the successful execution of strategies across the company’s facilities, including initiatives related to OPEX construction, post acquisitions, and commercial leases.
  • Liaison with headquarter shared services with field operations; key departments include accounts payable, IT, finance, asset management, and fleet operations.
  • Promote and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Proven track record in a similar role in the self-storage industry or related field, with a deep understanding of operational challenges and opportunities specific to this sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating diverse teams, with the ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance metrics, with a proven ability to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
