About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Care Advocate who will act as the primary liaison in ensuring excellent quality of care for our patients.
This role is vital for the ultimate success of our unique care model, and you will be a guide and educational resource for our patients and families from initial intake through post-treatment followup.
Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, you will work closely with cross-disciplinary clinical teams to ensure successful completion of each stage in the patient journey, focusing on identifying obstacles or gaps in care, problem solving to resolve client complaints or concerns as they arise in real time.
You will be responsible for securing proper insurance authorization for patient treatments in conjunction with the clinical team and will manage post-treatment outreach and documentation to ensure full compliance with established care plans. This will include the execution of regular quality assurance reviews with client families and the clinical team.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Care Advocate will:
  • Act as a primary liaison between our clinical team and patients in ensuring excellence in quality of care and overall patient satisfaction
  • Educate patients and families on all aspects of our care model from initial intake through post-treatment followup, setting and managing expectations accordingly
  • Work with patients to identify obstacles or gaps in care, problem solving to resolve client complaints or concerns as they arise in real time
  • Secure proper insurance authorization for patient treatments in conjunction with the clinical team
  • Manage post-treatment outreach and documentation to ensure full compliance with established patient care plans
  • Promptly respond to patient or family needs and concerns, informing the clinical team accordingly
  • Execute regular quality assurance reviews with client families and the clinical team
Requirements for the Role - Who You Are
  • Independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license that is active and unrestricted in the State of New York
  • 3 years of experience in a related mental health environment preferred
  • Ability to work in-person at our NYC clinic daily
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, highest-tier customer service
  • Clear track record of independent troubleshooting as a proactive self-starter
  • Proficiency in handling confidential patient information and associated regulations
  • Capability to master internal digital systems such as EHR and telehealth, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet softwares
