Milwaukee Electronics is Hiring a Quality Technician 2 Near Milwaukee, WI

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the QMS.
  • Focus on document control at a site and corporate level.
  • Perform regular process line audits.
  • Perform and track quality audits.
  • Works with department managers to implement key business initiatives and daily business functions.
  • Follow appropriate quality policies and procedures.
  • Inspect product based on customer requirements via provided documentation, as directed by Area Supervisor.
  • Provide feedback to production personnel & assemblers regarding the types of defects found during inspection.
  • Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities.
  • Participate in work group/team activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
  • Must be a positive and dependable member of the quality group.
  • Must support manufacturing needs.
  • Must be adaptive and supportive of change.
  • Must provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
  • When required create and submit reports to customers (internal or external) on findings of investigations conducted for issues identified either internally or externally.
  • Support training functions from a site and corporate level.
  • Must be able to pass IPC-610 & J-STD-001 Certified trainer courses.
  • The majority of the work performed in this job will be done on site. All offsite work will be coordinated by the Quality Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred, and three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of basic quality systems, practices, and tools or the ability to learn them is required. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex customer documents. Capable of effective communication in English.

COMPUTER SKILLS Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and Milwaukee Electronics’ in-house systems. Excel skills frequently require the need to build and modify analytical charts and graphs.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
