Summary: The Sr. Manager, Live Programming & Entertainment will serve a leadership role in delivering live entertainment during Milwaukee Bucks home games and events. This Sr. Manager role will lead live entertainment programming and activation for home games and select Fiserv Forum events, working as a leader on our live programming and entertainment team. On gameday, the Sr. Manager will serve as our lead Floor Producer, working alongside all internal departments, and external entertainment, to implement the live entertainment elements of our show.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Bucks live game programming and serves as the Floor Producer for Bucks home games, with training for and future game directing opportunities for all home games.
  • Lead entertainment programming efforts to book and coordinate live entertainment activations on a game-by-game, event-by-event basis that elevate game experience and advance company and department goals.
  • Department lead for the execution of programming/planning initiatives, including rehearsals, equipment needs/assignments, game night staff hiring, staff assignments, script writing and format planning.
  • Lead part-time entertainment team leads and members to execute all elements of live entertainment.
  • Serve as a talent scout seeking new talent, music, movie clips and/or entertainment that can be incorporated into Bucks game presentation.
  • Staff assignment / management regarding all in-arena promotions and live experiences, which are represented by all facets of the Bucks organization.
  • Collaborate with broader game presentation team to develop an annual sellable menu of stadium assets and work collaboratively with Sales and Partnerships teams to match partners to mutually beneficial content and activations.
  • Oversee all gameday logistics for all entertainment groups and guests and oversee a world-class hospitality experience for entertainers and entertainment guests.
  • Responsible for game night inventory grid for all departments of the Bucks organization.
  • Work with arena operations to advance logistics around gameday activations.
  • Serve as a visible leader for the LPE group and overall team on gamedays.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Director to outline and forecast budget needs specific to programming/presentation areas.
  • Lead for scheduling and maintaining timecards for part-time staff.
  • Uses reviews to assure constant evolution/improvement of event processes (including, but not limited to: staff morale building, team building, and conflict resolution)
  • Partner with other departments (i.e. Corporate Partnerships, Ticket Sales, Marketing, and Community Relations) to help activate department objectives.
  • Lead and conduct bi-weekly meetings with all department managers that use in-game inventory. Manage all company inventory on a day-to-day basis and will assist the Sr. Director in creation/adjustment of inventory processes to start each season.
  • Network with various NBA teams and identify Best Practices and comparable challenges.
  • Assist with video production for internal and external clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of live entertainment programming and/or related production experience with at least 2 years of experience in a stadium or arena entertainment experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive, upbeat personality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong creative abilities and a passion for content creation.
  • Availability to work ALL Milwaukee Bucks home games and other special events as needed.
  • Reliable, punctual, and courteous.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle, or feel, reach stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
  • Unlimited physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
