Milton Martin Toyota is Hiring an Automotive Parts Manager Near Gainesville, GA

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Parts Manager to join our team. As a Parts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts within our organization. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our service department operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties:

- Develop and implement effective parts management strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand

- Collaborate with the service and body shop departments to identify parts needs and ensure timely availability

- Utilize demand planning techniques to forecast parts requirements and maintain appropriate stock levels

- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms for parts procurement

- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and costs using Reynolds & Reynolds parts system.

- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of parts to the appropriate locations

- Oversee the data entry process for parts transactions, including receiving, issuing, and returning parts

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to parts management, such as fill rate, stock accuracy, and obsolescence

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the parts management process

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of automotive service industry and associated parts

- Proficient in demand planning techniques and procurement management

- Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds or similar inventory management systems

- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers

- Attention to detail for accurate data entry and record keeping

- Solid understanding of supply chain logistics and supply chain management principles
