Field Service Specialist

Your Tasks:

The Field Service Specialistwill be responsible for providing support to the Instrument Service Team in Australia while ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and QC compliance of analytical and medical equipment in AUS/NZ. Essential duties include generating technical reports, managing service agreements, coordinating with logistics and sales teams, maintaining equipment records, inventory and spare parts management, attend training's, staying updated on global service requirements, participating in support meetings, and assisting in IT responsibilities for the AUS/NZ Miltenyi team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible formaintaining the proper functionality and safety of analytical and medical equipment in accordance with applicable specifications and regulations (Miltenyi Biotec specifications, electrical/medical safety specifications)
• Plan, prioritize and schedule repairs and services in-house for QC of new instrumentation and Demo Stock
• Complete technical reports including but not limited to instrument service reports, validation reports and inventory reports.
• Create quotations for instrument services and repairs, including other services to be offered, which can often require close liaising with the Logistics and Sales team.
• Responsible for creating and processing Instrument Service Agreement details and Preventative Maintenance schedules for customers.
• Maintain the service and equipment database, including any related CRM entries of customer details.
• Responsible for monitoring spare parts inventory, including annual stock take.
• Attend face-to-face and online trainings in accordance with Service Manager
• Keep up to date with global service requirements by studying relevant documents and close communication with Miltenyi Biotec global service organization.
• Attend APAC Instrument family support meetings.
• Assistant IT role for the AUS/NZ Team dealing with IT hardware and software related items. This includes staff laptop PC’s, mobile phones, tablets, office network server infrastructure and landline phone handsets.

Requirements: 

• High School Diploma with a minimum of an associate degree or certificate in a technical or mechanical discipline with a minimum of 1 year experience of industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Perform at an Intermediate to expert level of the Microsoft suite of programs.
• Able to translate strategy to action, effective verbal and/or written communication at all levels of an organization, work effectively in ambiguous situations, ability to multi-task.

Must have ability to handle more than one task at a time and must work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a variety of facilities. This person will have an office environment for about half of the work performance, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.
