POSITION TITLE

Vice President of Americas Floor Covering

POSITION OVERVIEW

Based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the Vice President of Floor Covering Americas is responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects, leading a high-performing team, and developing and executing strategies to achieve business objectives. Reporting to the Division President, this position will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our Floor Covering business in the Americas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the P&L and financial performance of the Americas business (Commercial, Hospitality and Residential), including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability.
  • Develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the Americas business, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives while driving profitable growth.
  • Lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team, including sales, marketing, design, product development, and segment leadership, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the company's footprint in the Floor Covering industry.
  • Drive sales initiatives and revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to make informed business decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to introduce innovative and market-leading Floor Covering products.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, understanding customer needs and preferences to enhance product offerings and customer experience to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, finance, marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 15 years of proven experience in a senior leadership role within the Floor Covering industry (preferred) or a related field.
  • 6 years managing high performing teams with overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, and strategy execution.
  • Prior Global Experience (preferred)
  • Ability to create and manage annual budgets.

  • Collaborative, partnership focused, solution-oriented approach in working with the team.
  • Strong partnership with the members of the Division Leadership Team in supporting their most complex challenges.
  • Function as a visible champion and leader across the division.
  • Handles challenging issues in a constructive way, and in the right communications venue.
  • Independent Viewpoint: ability to challenge ideas, proposals, and strategies.
  • Effective representative and collaborative partner to external partners and customers..
