GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for the movement and integration of data across multiple disparate systems. Cleans, normalizes, and aggregates for Herman Miller corporate reporting and analytics. Provides support to functional areas by acting as expert in tools and methods for accessing, analyzing, and reporting corporate data.
Essential FunctionsAssist end users of reporting and analysis tools.
Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
Defines company data assets (data models).
Designs data integrations and data quality framework.
Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
Works closely with a team of application developers, architects, and analysts.
Works closely with all business units and software teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
Writes unit/integration tests, and documents work.

Education/Experience - Not Parsed
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.
Experience working with cloud services and cloud data warehouse.
Experience in retail and online retail data.
Previous experience with Snowflake, Matillion, Tableau, Business Objects and Net Suite are all desirable.
Licenses and Certifications
Skills And AbilitiesFully proficient data engineering abilities typically gained through 5 years of working with Python/Java, SQL, and working schema design and dimensional data modeling.
Ability in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients.
Expert knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and solve complex business needs.
Process oriented with great documentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.

A starting compensation range for this role is $88,600.00 - $111,750.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
