The Custom Studio Coordinator provides support to the Custom Studio team for Edelman, Knoll Textiles and Maharam. This position is responsible for assisting with Custom Studio projects, processing custom orders, and fielding related questions from sales. The Custom Studio Coordinator reports to Design Manager, Custom Studio but also works in tandem with Director, Custom Studio.
Essential Functions
* With Custom Studio team, coordinates all Custom Developments and Special Finishing requests, communicating often with Sales and resources.
* Handles preparation, shipments and receiving of custom samples.
* Assists in maintaining sample library of custom developments and fabrics treated with Special Finishes.
* Order entry and order acknowledgment for all custom projects.
* Responsible for weekly updates to our resources, to ensure deliveries of custom orders are on schedule. Notifies the sales offices of any delays/problems with the order.
* Assists with processing invoices from resource and generating the invoices for custom orders.

Contacts Inside and Outside the Organization
Interacts regularly with Sales, Resource Management, Product Management, Design and Quality Assurance
Knowledge and Skills
Detail oriented and organized with excellent follow up skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Some familiarity with Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Basic fabric knowledge (ability to review color/pattern)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Serging/cutting/labeling samples neatly
Ability to work independently on given tasks
Education and Experience
1-2 years of industry or customer service experience
1-2 years of Marketing, Business or Design field education (bachelor's degree or equivalent)
A starting compensation range for this role is $23-27/hour. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium.
