Miller Transportation Group is Hiring a Transportation Dispatcher Near Vineland, NJ

Miller Dedicated Services is looking to add to its team of Transportation Dispatchers in Vineland, NJ! Training will be provided, along with great pay and benefits. Miller offers career development opportunities with a stable and quickly growing company.

Dispatcher Duties

  • Prepare daily dispatch schedule for drivers and equipment
  • Ability to process driver payroll
  • Build and update inbound and outbound orders in dispatch program
  • Respond promptly to driver inquiries regarding, but not limited to, breakdowns and directions
  • Monitor drivers’ hours to prevent DOT violations
  • Adjust delivery and backhaul assignments to accommodate breakdowns, late trucks, and other changes
  • Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time, and ready to work assigned shift
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned and to work overtime as needed
  • Effectively use radio, telephone, or computer to transmit assignments

You Have:

  • Experience with office products, email, and dispatch software preferred
  • Ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions
  • Composure when interacting with co-workers
  • Reasoning, negotiating, and instructing skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, with Wednesday off, and Saturday 5 AM – 2 or 3 PM (until done)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School degree or equivalent

You May Also Have:

  • College Degree
  • 2 Years of experience in Dispatching or Transportation Planning
  • A Commercial Driver's License
