Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Technical Writer to work in Hunstville, AL. The candidate must have an active secret clearance with an ability to obtain TS/SCI. 

You will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation that effectively communicates complex information to a diverse audience. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, developers, and other stakeholders to produce documentation that meets the needs of our users and contributes to the overall success of our customer.

• Serve as writer/editor for cyberspace security assessment reports.
• Ability to interface with technical personnel and interpret data/drawings to gain technical details of completed assessments.
• Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with the customer to understand project requirements.
• Gather assessment information from the customer and develop, organize, and write reports that accurately capture outcomes.
• Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise, and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment and with a customer service focus.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications

• Candidate must have an active secret clearance with an ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least 3-5 years of practical experience required OR Two years of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree will be considered the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree. 
• Excellent English written and verbal communications skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong knowledge of Office 365.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
• Experience in working with cyber professionals to improve deliverable, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

Experience working in a DoD security testing environment.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
