Millennial Tech is Hiring a Sr. Technical Project Manager - Data Lakes Near Boston, MA

One of our high-profile clients is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to provide hands-on management of the delivery of data and migration to their modernized data platform. They want someone who takes accountability drives the project and does what it takes to execute. The ideal candidate will provide end-to-end technical ownership for data ingestion and delivery, including data migration to an Enterprise Data Lake, Data quality, and Scalability.

Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering complex data and software solutions as a Technical Program Manager. Deep IT Program Mgt Experience, building end-to-end data pipelines, automation technology, and integration experience in large-scale transformation programs with multiple stakeholders, complicated data dependencies, and intersecting workstreams.

Technology background, especially in a cloud-based architecture with a deep understanding of software development, passion for data, and analytics experience making data-driven decisions - AWS Analytics, Data Lakes, understanding of scalability and cloud storage.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for modernization, migration/transformation to a cloud data platform

Design and build reliable, scalable data infrastructure with leading privacy and security techniques to safeguard data using AWS technologies

Ensure a scalable, secure, low latency, and resilient architecture.

Communicate data-backed findings to a diverse constituency of internal and external stakeholders.

Recommend cost-effective solutions for enabling predictive and prescriptive analytics across the organization.

Provide oversight to the building of frameworks for data ingestion, both real-time and batch, using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and smooth handoff to data engineers

Participate in technical decisions and collaborate with talented peers.

Review design and implementations and give meaningful feedback that helps others build better solutions.

Help drive technology direction and choices of technologies by making recommendations based on experience and research.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES

Ten or more years of experience working directly with enterprise data solutions such as data lake implementations

Hands-on experience working in a public cloud environment and on-prem infrastructure.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum Framework

Current hands-on implementation experience required, possessing seven or more years of IT platform implementation experience.

AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty desirable

Experience designing and implementing AWS big data and analytics solutions in large digital environments is desirable.

Experience with AWS Cloud Data Lake Technologies and operational experience with Kinesis/Kafka and similar tools.

Knowledge and some experience with Machine Learning, IoT, batch/real-time data processing, Data, and Business intelligence.
